Sometimes it’s hard for undergraduates to see how anthropology can help wider society, and even harder to see how a recent graduate can use the lessons learned from anthropology to the “real world.” Erin Raffety, anthropology major and ’04 graduate, gave the following interview as part of her work for Bread for the World. The following is the description of the interview, and a link to the interview itself.
June 4-Bread for the World
Bread for the World (www.bread.org) is a nationwide Christian citizens movement seeking justice for the world’s hungry people by lobbying our nation’s decision makers. Bread for the World is involved in the current ONE campaign, which seeks to involve Americans one-by-one to urge the government to allocate an additional one percent of the US budget toward providing basic needs like health, education, clean water and food. This program features an interview with Erin Raffety, fellow in the ONE campaign.

In the interview itself, notice when she talks about her undergraduate experiences, and how they helped her in her work for Bread for the World. Erin is now at Princeton getting her M.Div.
